September is for Virgos…
I love me a good September 1st! It could only be better if it were a Monday, but I’ll take it. As a compulsive Virgo, I loved Back-to-School like Twihards love their Edward. New notebooks, new pens, new haircut, new backpack…I loved it all!
I do have one more quarter of my Sustainable Business program which starts at the end of the month, so I am literally going Back-to-School (BtS) myself, but I’m looking at it *big picture* at the moment. As in Last Call to get my sh*t together.
So here are this month’s BtS goals:
- Get back on the Belly Fat Cure plan (15 grams of sugar max/6 servings of carbs per day)
- Tracking food every day in September
- Keep up with a regular training routine (details coming up)
- Work towards losing 10 lbs by Christmas!
I’m on it!
Workout-wise, I’ve committed with a friend to do aquarobics twice a week, and I’ve signed up for training programs with Lindsey at Lean Bodies Health and Fitness for a month. I know HEABS enjoyed her workouts from Lindsey while on her recent vacation. I do have a trainer and a gym membership here, and as much as I really like my trainer she is a) expensive, and b) I could never remember the exercises to do on my own. I think having a written plan and accountability will really help. I’ve also started to tape shows on FitTV. For me it’s all about variety because I will give up if I’m bored!
So here’s to smaller sizes in September!

Hey hey hey!
i found your blog through the healthy living blogs website. It looks like we will be moving from Wisconsin to Seattle in the next 6 months and I’m just trying to wrap my head around that.
I thought I’d start with contacting other bloggers and get some encouragement about it.
It’s gonna be quite a transition for this conservative, small town midwestern girl :/
I’m excited about some things about Seattle, like the diversity of ethnic cuisine and vegetarian food, but I’ve lived in big cities before and it’s challenging for me.
Anyway! Hoping you can give me a pep talk!
Have a great day!

Lindsay really is fabulous! I’ve been friends with her for awhile and she knows her stuff.
Good luck with your goals. You can accomplish anything!
Hi Tiffany- I just stumbled upon your blog (through Faces of Beauty). You blog is fabulous, and you are so beautiful! I love Heather’s new site…we ARE all beautiful! Thanks to your link on this post, I have started the Belly Fat Cure lifestyle. I’ve noticed it is getting harder and harder to maintain a weight that I have been ost of my life, so I thought this lifestyle change might make a difference. I’m a little upset, though, because I love fruits and vegetables (I love to bake and share desserts, but I almost never eat sweets), and now I will have to really limit them (who knew vegetables contained so much sugar?). The idea of too much hidden sugar in our diet makes sense, but I’m not sure if I can live without lots of veggies! I’m going to try it for a week and see how it goes. Good luck with your weight loss journey, but remember…you really are truely beautfiul just the way you are!
Thanks Kim! I do not limit my veggies except potatoes, yams, corn, peas, and carrots, and even then I don’t go out of my way to really avoid them (except potatoes). Plus, lots of other veggies to choose from! I ate some fruit this summer and have huckleberries in my fridge right now, but I’ve really lost my taste for a lot of fruit. It gets easier!
